Our Philosophy

At ecogroup™ we are committed to reducing the impact that our organisation’s activities and the activities of the building industry have on the environment. Our range of services from demolition through to bin and plant hire provide the construction industry with an environmentally friendly alternative designed to minimise or eliminate all adverse impacts that the industry’s activities have on the environment.

What We Do – Working To Recycle Not Waste

The group provides a range of services to commercial builders and the general public that support the process of maximising salvageable materials from site and minimizing waste that ends as landfill

Working to recycle not waste, each division within the group ensures all salvaged materials are recycled. Bricks and roof tiles are sent to the company’s ecobricks™ & ecotiles™ outlets. All other materials are sent to ecogroup’s applicable recycling partners.

Packages on bin and plant hire are provided at significantly reduced rates to both the general public and trade when used strictly for recycling steel, timber bricks or concrete.

Investing In the Future

ecogroup™ supports numerous community recycling initiatives including Sustainability Victoria and proudly holds a seat on the board of Buy Recycled Business Alliance.  Last year, the group were awarded a grant from Sustainability Victoria under the “Towards Zero Waste Strategy Program” for its proposal to introduce new technology in the form of an automated brick cleaning machine.  This will streamline the process of recycling bricks for re-sale.

This machine has revolutionised the ability of the company’s brick recycling division, ecobricks™, to salvage an estimated additional 3 million bricks that would previously end in landfill.The group’s future initiatives include aiming to ensure head office achieve carbon neutral status.
